Marylanders for Better Beer and Wine Laws

Have you ever been frustrated by Maryland's beer and wine laws? Other states have much more modern laws, allowing consumers access to many more products – in many more places. Enter Marylanders for Better Beer and Wine Laws.

Adam Borden took over MBBWL from its founder, Scott Ehlers, in late 2008 and has been working in the food industry for ten years. He currently runs Bradmer Foods, a specialty food focused, Baltimore-based venture capital firm. He previously worked in New York for Petrossian, a fine foods importer and distributor, while at the same time serving on the James Beard Foundation Programming Committee. A life-long wine lover, Adam has traveled extensively domestically and internationally to many wine-growing regions and is one of the few Maryland state licensed wine writers.

MBBWL's mission is to represent a diverse group of Maryland constituents in advocating for improved alcohol laws in our state. Our vision is to make Maryland one of the most progressive states with regards to alcohol regulation by enabling consumers, wineries and retailers.
MBBWL was formed in 2005 to advocate for beer & wine laws that:
         • Benefit consumers
         • Promote competition
         • Protect the environment
         • Support Maryland's brewers and wineries

MBBWL represents all Marylanders – consumers, retailers, producers and distributors– who share our values. Specific reforms that we support include allowing consumers to order wine delivered directly to them. We have over 3,000 members and welcome your interest..
