Photo Contest Entries Due January 15
Last Chance for Photo Competition Entries— Deadline is January 15th. Don't forget to enter the Maryland Wineries Association annual photo contest! The winning photographer will win $500, and the photo will be printed in a limited-edition "Maryland Wine Artist Series” poster. The winner will receive complimentary admission to 2010 MWA-sponsored wine festivals. Read more.

Geothermal Winery. Knob Hall Winery has received a USDA grant to outfit the new winery with geothermal energy.
New Wine Vlog. Drew Baker of future MD winery Old Westminster Winery has started a wine vlog (video blog).
BYOW. Celebrity Chef Bryan Voltaggio support an effort to allow customers to bring their own wine to restaurants in Frederick County.
Serpent Ridge Honored. Serpent Ridge Vineyard was honored as Carroll County's Agribusiness of the Year by the county's Office of Economic Development.
Maryland Residents Speak Out. State residents speak out asking for a change in law to allow direct shipment of wine to Maryland homes.
