Woodhall Wine Cellars

With a broadcast journalism degree from Louisiana State University, Kent traveled up to Maryland believing he would enter the broadcast industry.

Stuck with looking for a new job in a new area, mutual friends introduced Kent to the Woodhall clan. A part-time job at the winery in 1993 turned into a new beginning for Kent. Read more online.

Innovation. Great Britain's Prince Charles runs his cars on wine, according to the Guardian newspaper. The prince uses excess wine from a local winery that has been distilled for one litre per GBP, roughly $4/gallon.

Health. Researchers have found that drinking red wine with red meat not just tasty: it's more healthy, too. The red wine decreases the intake of harmful chemicals found in red meat.

It'sAboutTime. A Finger Lakes brewery has released the first beer made from grapes. The Barley Yard Brewing Company is now selling its Riesling Ale, made from locally-grown Riesling grapes.
