bullet Industry Survey – More Vineyards Needed

A recently-released survey of the Maryland wine and grape industry reveals a need for additional fruit. Wineries grow a majority of the fruit produced in MD – nearly 250 acres – while 23 independent commercial growers tend to 120 acres of grapes. Every commercial grape grown in Maryland is sold, and Maryland wineries report a vast shortfall of grapes. The message, "we need more grapes." View the survey results.
