Southern MD Winegrowers Cooperative Forms
After years of encouraging Southern Maryland farmers to replace
tobacco with grape vines, the town of Leonardtown and St.
Mary's County have joined together with a group of grape growers
to break ground on what will soon become Maryland's first
grower-run winery cooperative. Stay tuned for more information

Wine/Grape Industry Receives Additional Funding
Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. recently announced Board of
Public Works approval of two grants totaling $147,000 in state
funding from the Maryland Wine and Grape Promotion Fund to
the Maryland Grape Growers Association and the Maryland Wineries
