Layton's Chance Vineyard & Winery The Layton family has farmed Dorchester County for more than 300 years, most recently on 1800 acres known affectionately as Lazy Day Farms. We planted the first grapevines in 2007, and made our first wine in 2009. Opened in May 2010, our winery sits alongside corn and soybean fields and a small patch of woodlands, offering a pleasant view of Eastern Shore farmland. Come take pleasure in a “Lazy Day” at Layton’s Chance by exploring our nature trail, sharing a picnic, touring the farm and vineyards, and tasting our five distinct wines. |
